You First Sports held on June 19th its Annual General Meeting with the presentation of results that grew both in sales and clients.
The annual turnover in 2011 exceeded € 11,000,000, representing an increase of 19.13% compared to last year. With a global presence through its offices in Shanghai, New York, Chicago, Atlanta, Miami, Mexico, Madrid, Barcelona, Seville, Milan, Buenos Aires and Santiago de Chile, You First Sports has intermediated contracts for its clients amounting € 124 million, 48% in the U.S., 34% in Spain and the remaining 18% distributed in over 25 countries.
Juan Aísa, CEO of the Spanish multinational said: "The year 2011 has presented a huge challenge for the economy and the sports industry. Our EBITDA has remained above 5% despite the lockout in the NBA and although the entry into bankruptcy of several Spanish football and basketball clubs that has forced us to increase the bad debt provisions. Fortunately, our internationalization strategy, service delivery and management model are very solid, which has allowed us to grow in sales and in number of transactions intermediated".
"The year 2012will be just as challenging as 2011, although our NBA market does not present the uncertainty originated by the lockout and our new offices in Shanghai and Milan will increase their contribution to the group. This fits with an internationalization strategy that allows offsetting the weaker market cycles with fast growing ones. We are very confident that, with our management model, international position and the excellent portfolio of You First Sports, we will improve the results of 2011." Aísa stated.
You First Sports successfully developed sports marketing programs for more than 100 companies, offering them communications solutions, negotiation and activation of sports sponsorships, public relations plans and organization of corporate events. Moreover, the Spanish company represents more than 500 athletes in 23 countries, with 35 players in the NBA, 44 in the Endesa League, 24 players in the BBVA Liga, 21 in the Spanish Liga Adelante and 37 in the Mexican First Division football league.
