Valencia CF sign Andrés Guardado

Valencia CF have officially announced the signing of the Mexican player Andrés Guardado on a four-year deal with the club. The mexican player commented on the offical club web-site that this “is a very important challenge for me at this point in my career, I’m very excited about it. I have dreamed of this since I was little, I have always been eager to play in the Champions League. By signing for Valencia CF I have made my dream come true. When I was a boy I used to watch the Liga BBVA and Champions League on television, and I always dreamed of getting to play in them one day. Now, Valencia CF are going to give me the chance to reach my dream and I’m going to give all I’ve got not to disappoint them. Here the demands will be greater and this will make me perform better and better. Obviously this will help me to improve as a player, as will be seen, and it will also help me to perform better for my country. Coming to a team such as Valencia CF, where the squad is so complete, with great international players such as Rami, Albelda, Alba, Jonás and Soldado, means that you have to give 100% at all times. It is an extra source of motivation since to get minutes on the pitch we all have to be in top form, because the competition that there is here makes the group and each individual improve. As well as this, for me personally it makes me proud to share a dressing room with such great players. I am proud that Valencia have shown faith in me. They are one of the best teams, not only in Spain but also in Europe and any footballer would love to play for this great institution”.

Braulio Vázquez, Valencia CF’s sporting director, said that “Despite being so young, Andrés Guardado already has the experience of playing in two World Cups and, together with Chicharito, is one of of the main pillars of the Mexican national team. He is a very skillful player, of international calibre”.
