David Blatt named the Russian National Team preliminary roster with two You First players, Viktor Khryapa and Sasha Kaun. Sixteen players will prepare for the Olympic Qualifying Tournament. The event is slated to take place in Venezuela from 2nd through 8th of July. The first training camp for Russian NT is scheduled for 31st of May. The first training camp will be held in Moscow. The team then gather again on 3rd of June in Slovenia. Russia will play two friendly games against FYR Macedonia and Greece on June 14th and 16th. Later the team will move to the USA for the final training camp. Three test games are scheduled for June 25th, 27th and 28th. Russia will face Great Britain, Lithuania and Great Britain again respectively. Russia got into Group C at the Olympic Qualifying Tournament. They will face Venezuela and South Korea.
