After Maccabi Tel Aviv added Jordan Farmar (Nets), and Bnei Hasharon signed Trevor Booker (Wizards), Maccabi Ashdod decided to join to the new trend and signed Craig Brackins (208-F-87, college: Iowa St.) from the Philadelphia 76ers. Craig joins the port team with an NBA out option on his contract, Maccabi Ashdod GM Shai Housman said that they decided to sign Craig due to Josh Duncan injurey.
Brackins was choosen in the 21st pick of the 2010 NBA draft by Oklahoma City Thunder he moved to the New Orleans Hornets, and than on Sep 2010 he traded to the 76ers. Last season Craig played in both the D-league with Springfield Armor and in the NBA with Phily in the D-league he averaged: 20.1 ppg, and 8.6 rpg. In the NBA he averaged 2.7 ppg.
